JOHANNESBURG – Johannesburg-Lewiston and Gaylord St. Mary, two ranked teams in Division 4, met for a conference doubleheader on Monday afternoon, with the Cardinals winning both games, 7-5 and 11-4.
Johannesburg-Lewiston is currently ranked No. 5, while Gaylord St. Mary sits at No. 20. The two Ski Valley teams met just five days ago, and split those two games.
Johannesburg-Lewiston came back back in the final inning and and won on a walk-off from senior Sheldon Huff in the first game. They would go on to sweep the Snowbirds with the 7-run win in the second game.
Next up for the Cardinals is Mancelona on Thursday, while Gaylord St. Mary also is set to face Mancelona next Monday.
