BUCKLEY – A 31-point second quarter outburst was more than enough to lift Lake Leelanau St. Mary to a 68-34 win over Buckley on Monday night.

The matchup of previously unbeaten teams started out low-scoring, with the Eagles taking a 10-2 lead after the first quarter.

But, they spread their wings in the second, led by senior Shawn Bramer, who made five 3-pointers and recorded 19 points in the second quarter alone.  St. Mary took a 41-10 lead into halftime.

Bramer led the Eagles in scoring with 26 for the night.  He was joined in double figures by teammates Drew Thompson (18) and Dylan Barnowski (15).

Buckley was led in scoring by Jackson Kulawiak and Tyler Milarch with 10 points apiece.

Lake Leelanau St. Mary (4-0) is off until Saturday, when they will play host to Brimley.  Buckley (2-1) travels to Benzie Central on Friday to open up Northwest Conference play.
