TRAVERSE CITY – Kingsley came from behind in the final set of the night to score a thrilling win over Traverse City Central and earn a three-way split of the A-B-C-D Quad Meet.
Kingsley, TC Central and Leland each went 2-1 on the evening. Traverse City St. Francis finished 0-3.
In the first matches of the meet, TC Central defeated Leland, 25-13 & 25-18, while Kingsley bested St. Francis, 25-21 & 25-21.
In the second matches, Central swept past St. Francis, 25-18 & 25-15, and Leland earned a hard-fought 25-13, 28-30 & 15-11 victory over Kingsley.
Both of the last matches went three sets. Leland edged out St. Francis 25-16, 23-25 & 15-10. Kingsley bested TC Central, 8-25, 26-24 & 15-13.
The A-B-C-D Quad Meet is known by that name because it features one team from each of the four divisions of the MHSAA (previously known as Class A, B, C and D).
