If you’re looking to participate in some St. Patrick’s Day fun this year, consider the Leapin’ Leprechaun 5K.

The Traverse City tradition has been happening for over a decade, and this year there’s a new course. Runners will take off at Lake Street and head east.

When the race is over there will be an after-party that includes costumes, animals and fun for all ages.

Over the past 13 years, the event has been able to raise a little over $20,000, with some of those proceeds going to Munson’s family centers.

“We enjoy that great Saturday morning. Time to get out there. For those 21 and over, we do have a beverage coupon that’ll be attached to your bib as part of your registration” said Kat Paye, National Cherry Festival Executive Director.
